Youth Awareness Programme

It is seen that a major chunk of educated youth in rural areas are unemployed and are forced to migrate to the metros in search of jobs and finally land themselves in dismal situation. Shreeja has analysed the said scenario and in view of “Dairying” being the secondary occupation after the agriculture which has brought a very noticeable socio economic change amongst our rural populace, an Awareness programme on the Dairying for such unemployed youth was thought off. PIB has designed an informative module covering all the aspects of dairying and is successfully executing the same for the selected youths. 2930 youngsters were trained during the last two years.

School Children Programme

By and large it is seen that the school children are not aware of the importance of the milk in meeting their nutrition deficiency and the awareness on choosing of the best and healthy milk and milk products. At the same time it is thought that if they are updated on these aspects needless to say the same information will be passed on to their parents and the family members. It is with this thinking the Rural School Children programme are being conducted for the children of 8th and 9th std. An attractive and children friendly PPT with some interesting videos are used in the programmes. We have taken up the programme in 1048 rural higher secondary schools covering around 4193 children.
